Fall has worked on various outbreak response and research teams in the field to eradicate the spread of diseases including COVID, Ebola, malaria, AIDS, and tuberculosis.[6][7] He was previously the Regional Emergencies Director of the WHO in the African Region and worked on Health Security and emergency preparedness and specially on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, epidemics and humanitarian crises.

      Fall holds a doctorate in medicine, a master's degree in public health (UCAD) and a doctorate in public health (UCAD and Tulane University in the USA), a master's degree in sustainable development (Tulane University), a university degree in tropical medicine and epidemiology from Aix-Marseille University and the French Army Institute of Tropical Medicine (IMTSSA Pharo). Fall is also a fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians of the UK.[8]
