Who is Ian Somerhalder? Early Life, Education, Career and Achievements
Ian Somerhalder is an American actor, model, director, and environmental activist, best known for his roles in popular television series such as "Lost" and "The Vampire Diaries."
Ian Joseph Somerhalder was born on the 8th of December in the year 1978 in Covington, which is situated in Louisiana, United States of America to Edna, a massage therapist, and to Robert Somerhalder, a building contractor. He has a small amount of Cajun, English, Scots- Irish in him. He was also into many outdoor activities such as boating and fishing as well as swimming, and talent in theater groups so he was inclined toward arts.
Somerhalder started modeling when he was 10, at his mother’s insistence. He commuted between New York in the summers to be a print model for clients like Calvin Klein and Gucci. At the age of 17 years, he decided to pursue his acting career, and he trained in New York under William Esper an esteemed acting coach.
Education
Somerhalder attended St. Paul's School, a private Catholic institution in Covington. His early experiences in modeling and acting laid the groundwork for his future career in the entertainment industry.

It’s always so fitting when television or film crews set up shop at the Georgia State Capitol, the fount of film-friendly tax policies that have lured hundreds of projects our way.
The statehouse was turned into a lovely train station for the 2011 Hallmark Hall of Fame movie starring Betty White and Jennifer Love Hewitt. It became a courthouse for both the 2015 movie "Kill the Messenger," with Jeremy Renner and Rosemarie DeWitt, and "Selma," the Golden Globe-nominated picture starring David Oyelowo as the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., that opened in limited release in December 2014 and nationwide in January 2015.
One area in the building actually became a nightclub in the recently released comedy "Ride Along 2," starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, and Gov. Nathan Deal allowed his office to be trashed temporarily so the pilot for the now-canceled TV show "Revolution," about people stumbling through life without electricity, could film there in 2012.
