Turn the Page: The Bob Seger Story

I of course, loved this one, being a huge Seger fan before the rest of the country even knew he existed. The author was a fellow traveler on the road of Detroit rock, albeit without the future success of Bob Seger. He gives us a great account of Bob's struggles including his early life and insights into all of Bob's work, stirring curiosity about tunes I don't know or don't remember and warm nostalgia for the ones I love, including my favorite "Old Time Rock N Roll". Anyone who is even mildly a Bob Seger fan should take a look. It also includes some great old time pics of Bob and the band-mates, classic posters and album covers and tales of concerts and personal details, waxing nostalgic about the good old days when tickets could be had for under $10.00. I saw Mr Balian at an event at the Howell Library where I was regaled by his knowledge and even some incredible early clips including Bob singing with the "Last Heard". I treasure my signed copy.
