    1) After School were a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2009. They were the first group to debut with a unique admissions and graduation concept in Korea, where members were added or withdrawn in a “natural” manner. All former members: Raina, Nana and E-Young.

    Soyoung withdrew from the group in fall 2009, Bekah officially graduated from the group in July 2011, former leader Kahi graduated in September 2012, Jooyeon graduated in January 2015 and Jungah graduated in January 2016. Additionally, Uee graduated in May 2017 and Lizzy graduated in May 2018 due to the expiration of their contracts. Three members of After School also formed a sub-group with a different concept known as Orange Caramel.

    After School had their first performance alongside label mate Son Dambi in 2008 and their official debut occurred in January of 2009 with the song AH. The group became popular with the release of their hit single, "너 때문에 (Because of You)", which attained #1 and a triple crown on SBS's Inkigayo. After School went on to win various awards at the Billboard Japan Music Awards and the Seoul Music Awards. Other hits by After School include Diva, Bang! and Shampoo.

    After School (Korean: 애프터스쿨) was a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment, with an admissions and graduation concept.[1]

    After School officially debuted in January 2009 with the song "AH!" from the single album New Schoolgirl. Following the addition of Uee in April of that year, they released "Diva", which won the "Rookie of the Month" award at the Cyworld Digital Music Awards.[2] Pledis Entertainment then announced the graduation of Soyoung before adding Raina and Nana for the release of "Because of You", which topped the monthly digital chart for December 2009.[a] Follow-up singles "Bang!", "Shampoo", "Flashback" and "First Love" further consolidated their popularity and saw the additions of members Lizzy, E-Young and Kaeun, as well as the graduations of original members Bekah and Kahi.[4][5][6] In 2010, the three newest members at that time formed the group's first subunit, Orange Caramel, and in 2011 a second subunit was formed when the group was split into two teams, A.S. Red and A.S. Blue, for the release of their fourth single album.
